Business Computer Systems and Management FAQs
In general, an AAS degree is for those who are currently in a career but need a degree or more skills to get promoted or to advance in their career. Our two-year AAS degree is different in that you take less “general education” courses and more technical courses in Business Computer Systems and Management. This allows you to customize your degree to get the skills YOU need for the career you’re already in!

The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification is a globally recognized certification that demonstrates to employers that you have high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. NHCC offers the option to take any of these FOUR certification exams for free. These Microsoft Office skills are in high demand and are an excellent resume builder!
Our courses use real world scenarios, where you apply your skills to solve problems, think critically, and make business decisions. We also have opportunities to complete a summer internship! For your internship, you will work closely with our Career Center and a CIS instructor to grow your business skills while on the job. Build your experience and broaden your career opportunities, all while earning college credit!
