Pursue a degree: if you are seeking a long-term career that requires a four-year education, a degree is for you! A degree provides a solid educational foundation, critical thinking, and professional skills that can open doors to a career, career advancement, and leadership opportunities.
Pursue a certificate: if your goal is to gain job-specific, specialized skills to prepare for a specific job or career change in a shorter time frame, certificates allow you to focus on practical, targeted training specific to your needs! These certificates are designed to help you enter or advance in a particular career quickly.
How do I choose? Ultimately, your decision to pursue a degree or a certificate should be guided by your personal circumstances, career goals, financial considerations, and the specific skill or education requirements of your chosen industry.
The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification is a globally recognized certification that demonstrates to employers that you have high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
