Leslie Hook began teaching Business Computer Systems and Management in 1991 at the Taylor Business Institute in Chicago, she has taught at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, Saint Paul College Saint Paul, and currently works full time at North Hennepin Community College Brooklyn Park. She has over 15 years of business experience including Finance, Real Estate Development, Corporate Training, and Contracting for start-up businesses. Leslie has an array of knowledge working with students from various backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. Her mission is Empowerment through Education.
My Teaching Philosophy
My responsibility as a teacher is to empower students with the skills and knowledge to problem solve, think critically, self-evaluate, and make choices that will help them be successful and accomplish their goals. I respect individuality and diversity, respond promptly to questions, provide constructive feedback, and use teaching methods that will best meet individual learner needs.
