Have you already applied to NHCC? If you previously applied to NHCC fill out a Student Record Update Form instead of reapplying.
After You Apply
- After you complete the application and pay the $20 application fee (or are waived), you'll get an acceptance email within 1-2 days.
- Your acceptance email will have a link to your checklist, which will outline your next steps in the admissions process.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you previously applied as a regular undergraduate student, you do not need to reapply. You will just submit the Student Record Update form.
If you previously applied as a PSEO student, you will need to submit a new undergraduate application.
When you start the application, you will be assigned a StarID, which is emailed to you.
If you have previously applied to another Minnesota State system school, you can use your existing StarID to log into the application.
If you don't have your existing StarID or need to reset your password, you can do that at www.nhcc.edu/StarID.
The deadline to apply for both fall and spring semester is 1 week before classes start. However, fall registration opens in April and spring registration opens in November. The sooner you apply, the sooner you can register. Check the NHCC Calendar for semester start dates.
After you apply, you will receive an email with your admissions checklist. Your checklist will outline your next steps in the admissions process.
