Northwestern High School Art Exhibition

February 12-March 1
Closing Reception on Thursday, March 1, 2018, 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

This exhibition celebrates the artwork of some of our area's most talented high school students. Paintings, drawings, prints, photography, and 3D work will be on display. One outstanding work from each school, chosen by NHCC art faculty, will be selected for special recognition. High schools include: Brooklyn Center, Champlin Park, Elk River, Irondale, Maple Grove, Osseo, Park Center, Robbinsdale Cooper & Armstrong, Rogers, St. Michael-Albertville and Zimmerman.

Jazz trumpeter Dan Miller spent 11 years as a member of the Harry Connick Jr. Orchestra, traveling the world and recording numerous albums and television specials.  Dan also toured internationally and recorded with Wynton Marsalis, Maynard Ferguson, Tom Jones and Woody Herman. Orphans by Lyle Kessler

A winner of numerous international awards. Two orphaned brothers who eke out a meager existence. Philip, the younger brother, is sensitive, reclusive and self-taught. His older brother Treat is a violent, petty thief who kidnaps a mysteriously wealthy business man. When the kidnapped victim turns the tables on the two brothers, he guides them to new discoveries about themselves, while becoming part of their family that had been given up for lost. 

Note: PG-13 production

The Wednesday, February 28 and Thursday, March 1 performances include a 30 minute guest panel discussion after each show.
