Parent Resource and Study Room FAQs
The Parent Resource & Study Room is a dedicated space on campus for NHCC students who are pregnant and/or parenting. It provides a comfortable, family-friendly environment where you can study, relax, and access parenting resources while your children are with you.
Yes! Children are welcome to accompany you while you use the space. Please note that this is not a daycare, and you must remain with your child at all times.
What amenities or resources are available in the room?
- Quite study areas and seating
- Child-friendly play materials and comfort items
- Access to parenting information and campus/community resources
- On-site guidance and referrals to support services from our Parent Navigator and CARE Center team.
The Parent Resource & Student Room is located in the Second Floor of the Campus Center Building in Room 209 (across from the Game Room).
To use the space, follow these steps:
- Contact the CARE Center to express your interest in utilizing the room.
- Schedule a time to meet with the Parent Navigator or a CARE Center staff member to get a tour of the space and learn about the room and its guidelines
- Review and sign the Room Use Contract to acknowledge expectations.
- Receive your access code once all steps are completed.
Yes. All parenting students must review and sign a Room Use Contract before receiving the access code. These agreements and access codes will be updated on a semester basis.
No. For everyone’s safety and comfort, access codes are only given after an orientation and signed contract.
