Workforce Innovation & Experiential Learning (WIEL) Center
The WIEL Center (pronounced "wheel" center) is where NHCC students go to bridge their classroom learning to their new or next career. From their first semester through to their final semester, our knowledgeable team of career professionals can assist students with career and degree exploration, resume writing and job search, finding internships and connecting to externships, and learning important career readiness skills. Gaining hands-on experience while building a network in their chosen profession is the key to successfully launching a career. On-boarding into the workforce is a process and we are here to help you!

Career Pathways
Career Pathways provides degree and career exploration, support with strengthening career readiness skills, and strategies for career development based upon a student’s unique attributes and lived experiences. University transfer options, occupational outlooks, and personal goal setting will build a student’s career toolbox of knowledge.
Find A Job
Connect with employers posting job openings to NHCC through Handshake.
Nontraditional Career Support
Defined by gender, nontraditional career fields are composed of 75% or more of members of the opposite sex. We provide students with opportunities to network with professionals and other nontraditional career students to help you succeed in your chosen field.
Experiential Learning
Taking hands-on learning to the next level, experiential learning can happen in many ways, such as attending a career fair, job shadowing, or an internship experience. Our industry connections in the local workforce will help you make the jump into your chosen profession.
