- ScienceNotes.org unit conversions help & problems
- Biology corner – free quizzes for general biology, anatomy and physiology
- Biology Corner Kahoots – more free quizzes, with attached images for visual aid
- McGraw Hill Biology quizzes – for intro bio: select a chapter (it will not necessarily align in number with the Pearson textbook but content is very similar), then choose “Multiple Choice” in the left side bar for the quiz.
- Cell Anatomy Viewer – includes “explore” mode to learn and “quiz” mode to test yourself

Math Resources
- Khan Academy: A comprehensive platform with free video lessons, practice exercises, and personalized learning paths for various math topics.
- Purplemath: Provides in depth explanations and examples for algebra and precalculus topics.
- Cool Math
- Paul’s Online Math Notes: Provides detailed notes and examples for various math topics, including calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra.
- Mathplanet: Offers free lesson and exercises for various math topics, including algebra, geometry, and calculus.
- Quizlet: A platform for creating and using flashcards and other study tools, which can be helpful for learning math concepts.
- Schedule your study time and be diligent in sticking with it. It is recommended that you allocate two hours outside of class for each hour in class.
- Find a study partner. Studying with another person can help keep you motivated and on task. Or Use the Math Resource Center during drop in hours to get help as you need it.
Be an active learner
- Attend all your classes and be on time.
- Listen carefully. What the instructor is presenting usually tells you what they feel is important to know. Take good notes and participate in class.
- Review your class notes regularly and read the textbook.
- Do all the assignments. Follow example problems given in the book, in online homework, in class or by the tutoring department to help navigate the problems.
- Use a Cheat sheet. Write down important definitions, formulas, example problems on a cheat sheet. Add to the sheet while doing homework. Use that to review for the test. (Some instructors will actually let you use this on the test)
- Seek our help when something is unclear, as soon as possible. Best option is to spend daily time in the Math Resource Center or Tutoring Center and while you are working on the assignments, home
- Keep a positive attitude. EVERYONE can learn math!

- Use the instructors office hours
- Get to know the tutors in the Math Resource Center/Tutoring Center. Seek out help as soon as you don’t understand.
- Use online formats, Khan academy, DESMOS, Tutor.com, during off peak tutoring center hours.
