Buy your books, bus passes and some general merchandise through the online bookstore, and enjoy free shipping through September 2. Orders placed after September 2 will be charged the normal shipping fee of $13. For shipped orders, allow seven business days. Online purchases require credit card payment (Discover, MasterCard or Visa) or financial aid book charging. The Bookstore is your source for all course materials, school & art supplies, NHCC clothing, gifts and snacks!

A copy of your current NHCC class schedule and student ID is required to purchase textbooks or bus passes. Book sales for each semester begin three weeks prior to the start of that semester.

PSEO Book Return

Monday, May 11 – Thursday, May 14, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. each day in CBT 174.
If you are not able to return your textbooks and course materials during this time, we ask that you email the bookstore manager directly at traci.hildebrandt-smith@nhcc.edu, or call the bookstore @ 763-424-0808 to make other return arrangements.

Online Bookstore

The Online Bookstore provides textbook, pricing and availability information (subject to change). Textbooks can be purchased online with in-store pick-up or shipping available. For in-store pick-up orders, allow two business days. For shipped orders, allow seven business days. Online purchases require credit card payment (Discover, MasterCard or Visa) or financial aid book charging.

Book Charge Service

Students who meet one of the following conditions can bring their NHCC student ID and a copy of their class schedule to the Bookstore to charge books during the scheduled book charge dates:

  • Financial aid recipients who receive an email that lists their charge eligibility for books and limited class supplies.
  • PSEO students are eligible to charge books only. PSEO funded books are the property of the State of Minnesota and must be returned by the last day of the term. If books are not returned by the deadline, a replacement fee and a registration & transcript hold is added to the student account.
  • Students with an e-Cashier payment plan for the term may charge books and limited class supplies.
  • Third Party fund recipients must have your third-party provider submit payment authorization and have your account established in the Accounting & Fees Office prior to charging.
  • Veterans who applied for veterans benefits can obtain a book charge form from the VA Certifying Official. Charges can include textbooks and limited class supplies.

Book Charge Conditions

  • Students using any charge process are responsible for all charges if for any reason they do not receive the anticipated funding.
  • Book charges are allowed only during the scheduled dates.
  • All charges are subject to the return policy.

Sell Your Books for Cash

Sell your unwanted textbooks during Book Buy Back for up to 50% of the current retail market value. At the end of each term, the Bookstore hosts a Book Buy Back event. Most, but not all, textbooks are eligible to be sold during the event.
