Empowering Students Through Discipline, Harmony, and Personal Growth
Program History
Founded in Spring 2008 by Mark Larson Shihan (EAP/GCST Faculty), the Aikido of NHCC Program was created to introduce students to Traditional Aikido—a Japanese martial art rooted in harmony, discipline, and personal development.
Since its launch, the program has grown into a cherished and impactful part of the NHCC community. In 2018, the 10th Anniversary welcomed nearly 50 participants from around the globe. By 2023, the 15th Anniversary drew even more attendees, reflecting the program's increasing popularity and far-reaching influence.
The program is officially recognized by the Aikikai World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, a prestigious honor that underscores our commitment to authenticity and excellence.
