Sista Hope 2

Sista Hope 2 organizes on-campus practicum opportunities for women of color students that include:

• Workshops on topics that address academic and professional success as a woman of color;
• Retreats and meetings to help women of color students build supportive relationships with each other and with NHCC faculty/staff as well as other invested allies across campus
• Leadership opportunities that seek to enhance women of color students' personal & professional development

• Sista Hope 2 offers new and continuing women of color students coaching, tutoring, training, and guidance that supports each students' academic & career goals
• Student-led Executive Team supported by NHCC leadership
• Dedicated resources for Sista Hope 2 participants including funding for group activities and faculty advisors
• Education about NHCC financial, academic, personal, and professional resources for students
• Sista Hope 2 offers women of color students an established network of student of color allies 
• Peer mentoring with academic work and learning
• A Student Executive Team supported by NHCC leadership

As your advocate, Sista Hope 2 seeks to provide women of color students with leadership skills, knowledge, support, a positive sense of self, and uplift. We are committed to participants' academic and personal success, and we are here to help in any way we can that contributes to your success in college. 

How can I participate?

• Sista Hope 2 comes together in bi-weekly meetings during NHCC academic terms - join us for networking, advice, support, and sisterhood!
• Sista Hope 2 organizes and sponsors workshops, outings, speakers, and group activities throughout each academic term - join us!
