The Early/Middle College Program at North Hennepin Community College allows students who are currently enrolled in a partnered Alternative Learning Center the opportunity to earn college credit towards a high school diploma and an Associate’s degree.

North Hennepin Community College is currently approved to partner with Brooklyn Center Early College Academy, Robbinsdale-Highview Alternative Program, and Osseo Area Learning Center. Interested in partnering? Contact Katie Elsbernd.

Students are able to complete courses in the following areas: Graphic Design, Business Computer Systems and Management, American Sign Language, and Liberal Arts. There are, however, restricted courses for all PSEO students. Please review this list prior to registering.

To be eligible, students must:

  1. Currently attend one of the approved ALC partnership schools
  2. Complete a program application, submit a current 3-part form, and official transcripts
  3. Take the Accuplacer test achieving a score of 236 or higher on the Next Gen Reading Test.

For more information, review our program handbook, and contact your high school counselor or Katie Elsbernd.
