  • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

I'm a new student to college, what are my steps?

If you are a new student, you should schedule an appointment with an Admissions Representative at NHCC. They will discuss enrollment steps and degree options with you. After starting your courses at NHCC, visit with your NHCC advisor about on-campus partnership programs. Remember, NHCC's University partners also have office hours in the University Center located in the Center for Business and Technology (CBT) building across from the Café.

I'm a current NHCC student looking to transfer, what are my steps?

If you are a current NHCC student looking to transfer, you will want to schedule an appointment with an advisor at NHCC. They will assess and discuss your transfer credits and help decide when the right time to transfer will be. They will also be able to connect you with an admissions representative or advisor at a partner University, located in the University Center in the Center for Business and Technology building across from the café.

I already have an Associate degree, what are my steps?

If you've already completed an Associate degree at NHCC or another community college, you will want to connect with the University you plan to enroll at. You can speak with an admissions representative in the University Center, located in the Center for Business and Technology building across from the Café.

As a student, do I need to apply to the on-campus bachelor's degree program?

Students should discuss application and enrollment steps with their University. You can find an admissions representative in the University Center, located in the Center for Business and Technology building across from the Café.

    Do I pay NHCC's tuition or a University's tuition?

If students are registered for an NHCC course, they will pay NHCC tuition. If students are registered for a University course, they will pay the University's tuition.

How does financial aid work if I'm interested in registering at both institutions?

You will want to discuss financial aid options with your home institution. Your home institution is the school that you are seeking your degree from.

Am I eligible for scholarships from the University partner?

If a student is enrolled in one of the University partnership programs, they should be eligible for the University's scholarships. Speak with an admissions representative in the University Center, located in the Center for Business and Technology building across from the Café.

Do I continue using a NHCC email account or the email account of the University partner?
