Fall Concert Dates

Century College Concert Band and North Hennepin Community College Concert Band Joint Concert
Wednesday, October 25, 2023, 7:30 – 9:00 P.M., FAC Theatre

Join us for the first ever joint concert with the Century College Concert Band and North Hennepin Community College Concert Band on October 25 at 7:30pm in the Fine Arts Center Theatre. Selections will range from Sousa to Gates, along with a piece commissioned in honor of the late band director, Fred Nyline. It will be an Evening to Remember!

NHCC Orchestra
Monday, December 4th, 7:30 P.M., FAC Theatre

The NHCC Symphony Orchestra presents “Curtain Up” for a return to the classics, featuring music by Rimsky-Korsakov, Schubert, Mascagni, Bizet, Dvorak, and Rossini. The event will also be available via live stream

NHCC Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble
Wednesday, December 6th, 7:30 P.M., FAC Theatre

Join us for the long-heralded reunion performance of the NHCC Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble directed by David Mantini. Not since 2019 have both bands shared the same night and stage. In addition to other works, Concert Band will be preforming selections from the Little Mexican Suite by Nubia Jaime Donjuan as well as Colors in the Sky by Katahj Copley. Also on the program will be selections by Galante, Maslanka and others. The Jazz Ensemble will share pieces by Rob McConnell, Tom Kubis and Wycliff Gordon and vocals from Avri Blashak. Come on out and take a break from all the holiday music! The event will also be available via live stream

NHCC Vocal Ensembles Concert
Friday December 8th, 7:30 P.M., FAC Theatre

North Hennepin Community College Choir, Chamber Singers, and Vocal Department directed by Gary Ruschman invite the community to, “The Kids Are Alright.” This singing concert will explore childhood, coming of age, kid’s songs, even nursery rhymes, featuring choral favorites and popular songs by Sweet Honey in the Rock, Kansas, Pentatonix, and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The event will also be available via live stream
