Showing now through December 30: Holidate — A Holiday Musical
- Presented by Yellow Tree Theatre, at 320 5th Ave SE in Osseo, MN
- Performances run Wednesday-Sunday, with 2pm, or 7:30pm showtimes
- Tickets are $32-$35. (Students, Seniors 65+ and groups of 10 or more receive $3 off per ticket)
It is early evening on a beautiful wintery day, Taylor and Michael are in a hairy hurry to buy holiday presents for all of their friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, acquaintances…& pets. Finally, they stop before they drop their overstuffed shopping bags to take a load off & rest a bit on a bus stop bench in Nicollet Mall. The stress of the season makes them question almost everything about themselves, their families, traditions, their relationship, and their future together. Taylor is hoping one little question will be asked and answered to make her season merry & bright. Will she receive her heart’s desire this Christmas? Holidate is a holiday musical that truly decks the halls with joy and laughter!

Lunch with Santa

- Hosted by the Osseo Community Center at 415 Central Avenue in Osseo, MN
Put on your best smile and come meet Santa! Kids under 12 eat free and adult meals are $10 per plate. Purchase plates at the event. Lunch with Santa is sponsored by the Osseo Lions Club to celebrate families. Kids can take a photo with Santa Claus and enjoy a nice meal. Snow Many Traditions

Discover a world of winter cultural traditions, as you stroll through the park. View displays showcasing cultural traditions celebrated during winter. All displays were designed and created by our neighbors in the Brooklyn Center community. Are you looking to start, or continue a cookie baking and decorating tradition? Then you should consider registering for this beginner, Family Fun Holiday Cookie Class! Skate with Santa

- Hosted by the Central Park Ice Loop at 12000 Central Park Way in Maple Grove, MN
It may be busy at the North Pole, but Santa and his helpers are making a special stop in Maple Grove! Join into this free evening of skating and holiday music at Central Park. The Brooklyn Community Band is a concert band that NHCC faculty member, David Mantini directs.
December 13, 2022:
Festive Fox 21+ Paint Class
- Tuesday, December 13
- From 6:30-8pm
- Hosted by the Maple Grove Arts Center at 11666 Fountains Drive, in Maple Grove, MN
Come to this class and paint an adorable, sleepy fox all tucked in for a winters nap. Painted in acrylic with festive touches of silver and gold! This fun, step-by-step course uses acrylic paints on a 12" x 12" wooden panel. Time to give your holiday decorations some unique, artistic flare! All supplies will be included for guests at this event (along with a glass or two of wine and light snacks!). $55.

The Brooklyn Big Band Holiday Concert

The Brooklyn Big Band is an 18-piece band, directed by NHCC faculty member, David Mantini, that plays swing music and other styles. NHCC student, Kaitlyn Barrett is currently the vocalist for the band!

- Coordinated by Chabad Maple Grove, at the Plaza on Main Street and Arbor Lakes Parkway
This is the 2nd annual grand Menorah Lighting at Maple Grove’s Arbor Lakes Shopping Center! Guests can enjoy the mega 9 ft Menorah, Chanukah treats, music, and lots more fun for all ages! Find more event information here.
Now through January 13: The Tiny Gallery Art Show
- Hosted by the Maple Grove Arts Center at 1666 Fountains Drive, in Maple Grove, MN.
- This exhibit will be open from 6:30-9pm
Now here’s something you don’t see every day; a gallery filled with tiny paintings (8” x 8” or smaller, to be exact!). If you’re looking for a unique activity to take you from 2022, through the holidays, and into the new year, this is it! With artwork this small, it truly adds a touch of whimsy to the gallery show that you can’t find anywhere else!
