Education

Leanne Zainer holds a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her areas of specialization include research writing, science writing, and American Indian Literature.

She is the recipient of teaching awards from the University of Minnesota and North Hennepin Community College.

Leanne's work has been published on Bright Bones: Contemporary Montana Writers and Montana Horses Magazine. Leanne is currently completing a memoir, titled Backbone, of her adventures with Blackfeet and Chippewa Cree cowboys on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation.
