Deena Marks

My journey in higher education began in 2006 in Colorado. After completing my Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Minnesota, I took time off to travel, and later relocated to Colorado. That led to my professional roles within higher ed, which included Admissions, working with first-year students as they transitioned from high school to college, International Student Advisor working with F-1 visa students, Associate Registrar, and finally Registrar. I completed my master’s degree Colorado before moving back to Minnesota.

As a former PSEO student at North Hennepin Community College, my deep connection to the college and surrounding community was what drew me to my next chapter upon my return home to Minnesota. I started at North Hennepin Community College in 2016 as a Transfer Specialist in the Records & Registration Office, and now I am proud to serve in the role of Registration Management Analyst, where I have the privilege of working with our amazing students, wonderful staff, and esteemed faculty.
