The main cities of Sardinia were founded in the Phoenician-Carthaginian and Roman periods of history. Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown; book by Jeffrey Lane, music & lyrics by David Yazbek

April 7-15, 2017
Mainstage production Fine Arts Center Theatre, FAC 178 - Regional Premiere
Directed by Mike Ricci

This musical adaptation of Pedro Almodovar’s beloved film of the same name, ‘Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown’ preserves the exhilarating tone and style of the Oscar-nominated film, and will delight both fans of the film and newcomers to this raucous tale. Taking place amidst the fall of a fascist regime and the re-birth of democracy in 1987 Madrid, this story follows the exploits of several women who are seeking love, and the men who fall in and out of love with them. Both touching and hilarious, this play captures the spirit and energy of people who are excited for romance, and how they deal with the consequences of their passions. Please note: This play is intended for mature audiences.
