Career Services in the Workforce Innovation and Experiential Learning Center helps students explore careers and programs of study through self-assessments, offers assistance with refining job search techniques, and provides access to job postings and career fairs.

Career Exploration and Assessment

Students can complete online self-paced assessments, explore careers, and gather information on education options through FOCUS. Students who take advantage of this planning tool make better decisions about their educational goals and learn how to manage their careers. First time users must create an account using NHCC as the access code when prompted. For more information, review the FOCUS presentation.

 Job Search Assistance

Career Services supports students in the job search process, including assistance with writing resumes and cover letters, preparing for interviews, and identifying potential job leads.

Job Postings

College Central Network (CCN) is available to NHCC students and alumni to review job postings, build a resume, and access resources (such as cover letter writing, interview skills, salary negotiation) to assist in the job search process. Additionally, students who are registered in CCN can learn more about upcoming job fairs and read profiles on employers participating in future events. To use the CCN system, student and alumni must create an account, using the Star ID number as the assigned Access ID. Review the Introduction to CCN video for guidance on setting up an account and using the tool.
