Summary:
This position exists to operate and maintain a high quality physical environment to enhance student learning dedicated to the success and satisfaction of NHCC faculty, staff, students and campus visitors. This position is responsible for the management of the physical plant for North Hennepin Community College, consisting of 10 Buildings (473,700 sq. ft.) located on 80 acres in the city of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Specific responsibilities include the maintenance, operation and improvement of buildings, grounds and utility systems and custodial care. Responsibilities also include assigning and controlling flow of work, managing facility and security procedures, training employees, hiring and disciplinary actions and performance evaluations. A thorough knowledge of safety and cleanliness guidelines, mechanical systems, facility planning, and MnSCU facility guidelines is a requirement. Communication with stakeholders is necessary to ensure effective and efficient operations.
