GED Testing

North Hennepin Community College is a certified Pearson Vue testing site for the NEW GED 2014 Program.

Preparation for the GED test is available at the following centers in our local area:

  • Osseo School District Adult Learning Center:  763-566-5452
  • Brooklyn Center Community Corner:  763-561-2481
  • Other resources are available at www.GED.com

Additional information about the GED program is available through the Minnesota Department of Education website or by calling 651-582-8445. 

During the Admissions process, all possessions will be locked in a secure cabinet during the test administration according to Pearson Vue and GED Testing Service policies.  It would be best to bring only photo identification and other essential items with you to the Testing Center.

FAQ's

  • A student will not be tested without a valid picture ID. 
  • MyGED at www.GED.com will:
    • Allow you to create a personal account
    • Schedule your tests
    • Pay online (cost is determined by the State)
    • Get test results 
       
  • There are four batteries of tests in the GED series:
    • Reasoning through Language Arts
    • Mathematics Reasoning
    • Science
    • Social Studies 
       
  • Minimum passing score of at least 150 on each test and a total score of 600.
