Online Orientation

Online orientation is an alternative format available only to students who meet predetermined qualifications. To be eligible to do online orientation, students must meet one of the following criteria: Attended NHCC previously and are returning, are fully online students, or are transferring to NHCC with more than 12 credits of college level courses. This information will be verified.

Prior to completing the orientation, new students must take the placement test or receive a placement waiver. Students must be at college level reading in their placement scores to be eligible for online orientation, in addition to meeting the other above criteria. If this is your first time going to college, you must attend an on-campus orientation.

Please note that academic advising is not part of online orientation. If you want to speak with an advisor to review your transfer credits or for help planning courses, you must attend an on-campus orientation. At an in-person orientation you will have a chance to work with an advisor to answer all your questions.

Orientation Hold - Once you have completed the online orientation and passed the final quiz, it may take up to 48 business hours for the hold to be lifted and your information to be verified. If you did not see a final quiz, make sure you login in and choose "enter" not "enter as a guest" on the main page.
