Orientation is required of all students before registration. Orientation lasts approximately 3 hours, including one-one-one academic advising and course registration. Space is limited and we recommend attending orientation as soon as possible - classes fill quickly!
You must complete placement testing or have testing waivers to sign up for orientation. You are required to sign up in advance for a specific orientation session. To sign up for an orientation session, call 763-424-0703 or come to the Advising Center. You can also sign up for orientation immediately after you complete your placement test.
- New Student Orientation - Open to new NHCC students who have completed placement testing, including transfer and international Students. New student orientation begins when registration opens for new NHCC students for each semester.
- Post Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) Orientation - Required of all students enrolled as high school Post Secondary Education Option Students. PSEO students must attend an in-person PSEO specific session when starting, no exceptions.
New Student Orientation - Summer and Fall 2016 Semesters
- Guests are allowed, however, please do not bring children to these sessions unless accompanied by another adult.
- Career & Technical Education PSEO Students do not attend the PSEO Orientation. This is reserved for students in the 11th & 12th grade General PSEO Program. Career & Technical Education students must attend a mandatory CTE PSEO Parent/Student Session. See the application for more specific information.
