NHCC's recently updated mission, vision, and values, along with MnSCU strategic direction, helped to guide NHCC's 2011-2014 Strategic Plan. The goals of the plan focus on: 1) access, opportunity, and success; 2) innovation and relevance; 3) culture of commitment; and 4) workforce and community.
Points of Pride
The Points of Pride brochure highlights current things that NHCC is most proud regarding our students, campus, degrees and certificates, and flexible course delivery options. It also mentions our notable distinctions, honors, achievements, and innovations.
Fall and spring issues of the college magazine are published each year. It features student and alumni success stories, compelling faculty and staff profiles, and credit and non-credit class listings. is a non-fiction collection of writings that are narratives of significant life-encounters crossing cultural boundaries. As such, the publication accepts for consideration accounts from NHCC students from International and United States cultures. It's published once a year in the spring semester.
Every year since 1968, students at North Hennepin Community College have collaborated to produce the award-winning literary and arts journal Under Construction. Its pages have typically portrayed a breadth of human experience, but in recent years, as the student population has become more diverse and international and enrollment of both older, returning students and PSEO students has grown, this range has increased dramatically.
Students enrolled at NHCC receive periodic newsletters by email. The newsletter contains important information on current and upcoming events.
