Student Success Day - in conjunction with the GPS LifePlan - is day set aside each fall to recognize students, encourage learning, support personal goals, celebrate diversity, and develop community. No classes are scheduled allowing students, faculty, and staff to participated.
The GPS LifePlan (Goals + Plans = Success) - a tool that helps students develop and achieve their career, educational, financial, leadership, and personal plans - will be incorporated into the day's activities.
This year's activities include:
- Welcome Tables: located in the SC, CLA, or ES atriums for student check in and prize drawing registration.
- Information Tables: 8am-noon & 1:30-6pm.
- Workshops: 9am-3:30pm & 4-8pm, with a feature presentation by NHCC's new president John O'Brien.
- Break Dance Showcase sponsored by the NHCC B-Boy/B-Girl Organization: noon-12:45pm & 6-6:45pm.
- Free Pizza! Lunch: 12:45-1:30pm & Dinner: 5-5:45pm
All events are free! And students could win tution certificates, book store certificates, gift certificates from local businesses and more!
