Bookstore Notes
- The Bookstore orders the quantity of texts based on enrollment history for each class and considering the availability of the textbook from other external sources.
- Your request is generally ordered as received from you. However, if the ordering system identifies a "newer" edition than what was requested, it is the newer edition that usually must be ordered from the Publisher. We will contact you if an edition change occurs.
- Desk copies must be ordered through the Department Secretary, not the Bookstore!
- It's a good idea to stop in the Bookstore 2-4 weeks prior to the semester to personally check on your textbooks. We make every effort to confirm enrollment numbers and book quantity, but in the event students begin to purchase the wrong textbook, and we are out of a text, we are only able to determine this with your help. We will then be able to determine if the book is in overstock, in transit, or if we need to reorder.
- Encourage your students to purchase and/or return textbooks as early in the term as possible and in accordance with return policies and deadlines.
- After you submit your order, if anything changes, notify the Textbook Manager as soon as possible.
