Every summer, the Youth Acadmy offers educational and fun opportunities for children ages 6-12. Summer 2010 Youth Academy is hosting the Science Museum June 21-24 & July 26-29 from 9:00 am - 4:00pm. We are dedicated to engagin young people in science learning. Your student will have the opportunity to activly engage in the following courses:
Spy, Code & Alarm Club
Using math, logic, human behavior and electricity your student will learn how to develop skills to explore top secret information, make espionage gadgets and explore elecetricity to create ingenious alarms to proctect their top secrets stuff.
Blow It Up
Using chemistry & physics students will learn to blow everything from candy to rockets up in a safe and fun environment. They will learn by hands on training how many different chemical reacations work.
Registration

You may register online. An instant receipt will be displayed at the end of your transaction that you can print for your records.
You may also register and pay over the phone with a credit card by calling 763-424-0702. Or you may mail or personally deliver your registration and payment to: NHCC Youth Academy, 7411-85th Ave. N., Brooklyn Park, MN 55445.
Registrations will be processed in the order in which they were received. Registrations will not be processed without payment.
Confirmation / Cancellation
Confirmation letters will be sent after registration has been processed. The letter will include your receipt, directions, and important details about class.
All cancellations must be received in writing (letter or email) at least two weeks before the start of camp, wherein a full refund will be issued. Cancellations will be confirmed. Please allow two weeks for your refund to be processed.
You will be notified and issued a refund if the class you registered for gets filled or cancelled.
Discounts / Scholarships
We are happy to support families with multiple participants. When you register one child at regular price, each additional sibling receives a $20 discount. Scholarships may also be awarded if space permits. If you are seeking a scholarship, please fill out the application form and submit it with your registration. Your application will be reviewed and your child will be placed on a waiting list in the order received. You will be notified by phone two weeks before the start of the class if you have been awarded a scholarship.
Every summer, there are numerous requests for scholarships. If you are interested in helping a youth in financial need to attend the Youth Academy, please contact the NHCC Foundation Office at 763-484-0815 to make a donation. Your generosity is appreciated and makes a positive difference in a child's life. |
