Admission Decisions

How Decisions are Made (in order of relative importance).

1. Number of required biology courses completed and grades achieved.

2. Number of required general education courses completed and grades achieved.

Overall academic performance including:

  • Age of Coursework
  • Repeated Classes
  • Consistency of academic performance/overall academic record.

3. Coursework completed at North Hennepin Community College.

Note:  Minimum 2.5 Cumulative College GPA (Only college courses that are required in the nursing curriculum will be used to determine GPA.)  Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA in required biology courses.

Meeting these screening levels allows you to be considered for admission to the program.  They do not assure that you will be competitive with other applicants.

Mobility Option - Additional Consideration

1.Performance in PN program.

Possible Decisions

Decision letters will be mailed in April. Decisions are not available by phone or in person.

Accepted

You have been selected to begin with next year's class. Follow the confirmation instructions provided.

Denied

You have not been selected. You may want to improve your qualifications and apply again for a future year. Nursing applications are not carried forward to future years.
