Leadership

L.E.A.D. Academy - Learn, Engage, Act, Develop

Our increasingly turbulent and uncertain world presents new challenges for leaders. You’ll need to be fluid and flexible, aware of your personal style, sensitive to the needs of others, and equipped to move easily into new roles across your organization.

Adopt a new way of thinking about leadership with our unique L.E.A.D. Academy. Complete a single course or earn one of four specialized certificates. Either way, you’ll acquire the skills, knowledge, and behaviors to succeed in today’s workplace.

Because leadership is more about you than the position you hold, L.E.A.D. Academy takes a holistic approach to leadership. Emerging leaders may need help with technical competencies such as managing projects, budgets, or teams. Seasoned leaders may want to improve their interpersonal or emotional skills. No matter how far you’ve come in your leadership journey, our courses will help you become a more authentic, disciplined, and effective leader.

North Hennepin Community College non-credit programs are delivered by experienced instructors who are committed to your success. You’ll find classes that are:

  • Relevant: Case studies, simulations, and real-world examples shared freely by faculty and fellow students give you a classroom experience that you can immediately apply on the job.
  • Convenient: Getting to class is easy thanks to free parking, easy access from all metro freeways, and an evening schedule tailored to your work and home demands.
  • Affordable: Dollar for dollar, you won’t find greater quality and value anywhere in the Twin Cities.
