Check your FAFSA Status
You may check the federal processor's status of your FAFSA at any time, but it is recommended you at least check and make any necessary corrections:
- 1 week after submission- if you used a PIN to sign your application.
- 2-3 weeks after submission - if you printed, signed and mailed a signature page.
Check your NHCC Financial Aid Status
After NHCC receives your FAFSA from the federal processor, we will contact you via email if additional information is needed to determine your financial aid award. Most students need to provide additional information. Examples of additional information include: federal tax returns, transcripts or residency information. All requested information must be provided before your award will be processed.
- Status/missing information letters are available to view on eservices approximately 5 business days after NHCC receives your FAFSA.
- If no additional information is needed, the award letter will be available on eservices approximately 5 business days after NHCC receives your FAFSA.
- If additional information is needed by the college, award letter information will be available on eservices approximately 10 business days after you provide the requested information. During peak processing months (July, August, September, December and January) award letter processing time increases to a minimum of 20 business days.
Instructions for checking your NHCC financial aid status:
1. Login on your eservices account using your Student ID and PIN.
2. Select Financial Aid.
