Student Success Day - in conjunction with the GPS LifePlan - is day set aside each fall to recognize students, encourage learning, support personal goals, celebrate diversity, and develop community. The GPS LifePlan (Goals + Plans = Success) is a tool that helps students develop and achieve their career, educational, financial, leadership, and personal plans. No classes are scheduled allowing students, faculty, and staff to participate. And all events are free!
This year's event was held on Tuesday, September 14th and included these and other activities throughout campus throughout the day:
- Welcome tables for students to check in and register for for prizes
- Information tables with giveaways and treats
- Workshops, including a feature presentation by NHCC's new president Dr. John O'Brien
- Break Dance Showcase sponsored by the NHCC B-Boy/B-Girl Organization
- Free pizza and refreshments for lunch and dinner
Students who attended had a chance to win tuition certificates, book store certificates, gift certificates from local businesses and more!
