    Welcome New Chief Student Affairs Officer Dr. Landon Pirius!

    Landon PiriusDr. Landon Pirius will serve as North Hennepin Community College’s (NHCC) new chief student affairs officer as of Wednesday, April 6, 2011.

    “Dr. Pirius has an extensive background in student affairs, which includes his positions as dean of students at Inver Hills Community College, director of admissions at Walden University, and associate registrar at Minnesota State University-Mankato. He has a strong track record in student development, enrollment management, policy development, process improvement, and technology integration. We are proud and fortunate to welcome him to our college,” says Dr. John O’Brien, NHCC’s president.

    Dr. Pirius has a B.A. in Russian Studies and Environmental Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, as well as an M.A. and Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota. The focus of his graduate study was intercultural training and communication. In addition, he is a graduate of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system’s Luoma Leadership Academy. He is also currently teaching a course at NHCC.
