St. Cloud State University (SCSU) is now offering a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) at the North Hennepin Community College (NHCC) Brooklyn Park campus.
This collaborative and flexible program allows graduates of NHCC’s Medical Lab Technology (MLT) Associate in Applied Science degree program, as well as certified MLTs from other programs, to complete their Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science from SCSU on NHCC’s Brooklyn Park campus. Classes are taught by SCSU faculty.
NHCC President, Dr. John O’Brien, states, “The articulation agreement between NHCC and SCSU ensures students a seamless transfer for the MLT to MLS program.”
Students can go at their own pace throughout the program, but those who choose to take full class loads can complete the MLS in only two years. Upon completion of the MLS program, SCSU graduates are eligible for the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) BOC national MLS certification examination.
