Complete Orientation

Orientation

New Student Orientation is required of all new students. Orientation provides you with important information about college resources, student responsibilities and also provides information on course selection and the registration process. It's important to complete orientation as soon as possible in order to register for classes that fill up quickly. Prior to orientation, new  students must take the placement test or receive a placement waiver

1. On-Campus Orientation

On-campus orientation is recommended for all students, and required for PSEO students, International students, and students who test into ESOL or development coursework. There are also sessions tailored specifically for transfer students.  On-campus orientation lasts approximately 2 1/2 hours.

Select the on-campus orientation that best meet your needs from the on-campus orientation schedule, and sign-up by calling the number indicated. Remember - preregistration and prompt arrival is required.

2. Online Orientation

Online orientation is reserved for experienced and/or transfer students who need no assistance with degree planning and course selection, or for online students. If you fall into these categories, you may complete online orientation.  Please note that academic advising is not part of online orientation.  If you need academic advising in order to make sound decisions for course selection, please follow the directions above to schedule an on-campus orientation.

Online orientation consists of 5 modules.  You will be prompted to install Sliverlight on your computer to view the online orientation modules. Each module takes 5-10 minutes to complete.  You may repeat any module as many times as you wish. You MUST complete all 5 Modules in order to confirm your participation in Online Orientation.  Click on the title of module one to begin.
