I am enrolled at another university. I want to take one NHCC class and transfer those credits to my university/college. Do I need to provide a high school transcript?
Providing an official high school transcript is an admission requirement at North Hennepin Community College, regardless of a student’s previous college experience. I’ve been out of high school for 25 years. How do I get an official high school transcript to NHCC?
Contact your high school and request they send an official transcript to North Hennepin Community College. If I have completed college courses at another institution and am only taking a couple of courses at NHCC, do I need to provide my official college transcripts?
If your intention is to complete only a couple of courses without earning a degree, you are not required to submit your official college transcripts. In this case, transcripts are only required if:
- You need to have coursework completed at another college evaluated to satisfy a prerequisite for an NHCC course.
- You are applying for financial aid.
You do not need to submit transcripts from a previously attended MnSCU institution as transcript information between MnSCU institutions is automatically part of your application. Official transcripts are evaluated for transfer and prerequisite coursework. We will review your transfer records and let you know if we need additional information from you. Please allow up to two weeks for your transcript(s) to be evaluated. A complete listing of MnSCU institutions can be found at:
