Bethany - Student Ambassador Team Lead 2009
Bethany is finishing her AA degree and transferring to a four year university to get her teaching license. She has had a great experience at NHCC and has taken advantage of the valuable resources here at school like per tutoring. The sense of community that she feels her makes her educational experience much more enjoyable. She has made a lot of life long friends. She decided to come to NHCC because she feels it's a great way to save money and benefit from smaller class sizes.
Anhthu
Anhthu is the President of the NHCC Student Senate. She plans to transfer to a university when she is finished taking her generals here at NHCC. She loves that the campus is so diverse. She has learned a lot about other cultures and that has opened her mind to new and interesting things.
Charity
Charity came to NHCC from New York so she could be closer to her family. She is studying her generals and plans to transfer to a four year university. She would like to major in Broadcast Journalism and minor in Sociology. Charity enjoys the flexibility with course offerings and course work. She made the decision to come to NHCC because she heard from friends that the school has great teachers and she hasn't been disappointed.
Charles
Charles is pursuing his degree in Accounting. He really appreciates the diversity of the school and loves to learn about other cultures and lifestyles. Charles heard about the benefits of going to NHCC from a relative who is an alumni of NHCC. He thinks that community college provides great education at an affordable cost.
Darcy
Darcy is attending NHCC and pursuing her AA Degree and a Certificate in American Sign Language. She enjoys meeting new people and seeing students that she has given tours to around campus become students. She chose to come to NHCC because it's close to her house and she had heard great things about it.
Jiya
Jiya is an international student from Pakistan. She is the Public Relations Coordinator for the NHCC Student Senate and also works with in the Diversity and Multicultural Office. She is pursuing her AA Degree and completing the MN Transfer Curriculum so that she can transfer to a four year university. Ultimately, she would like to go into International Relations, Mass Communication, or Global Studies but hasn't decided quite yet. The diverse student population made her feel right at home when she started school here. She also really appreciates the friendly and caring faculty and staff.
Jonghwan
Jonghwan is an international student from South Korea. He is taking classes here at NHCC so he can transfer to a 4 year university and have his generals done. Jonghwan likes the people here at NHCC. He also enjoys the weight room, open gym, and the piano practice rooms for student use.
Li
Li is an international student from China. She is taking her general classes for the MN transfer curriculum and wants to transfer to a four year university. She feels that NHCC is a great place to start her college education. She loves that faculty and staff are always willing to lend a helping hand when she has any questions. She really likes all of the different study areas in the school. She can always find a quiet place to help her prepare for class.
Phylicia
Phylicia serves NHCC as the President of the International Student Club as well as the Secretary for the NHCC Student Senate. Phylicia is an international student from France and she is finishing up her AA Degree so she can transfer those credits to a four year university. She feels that the small class sizes has helped her improve her English skills. She has a lot of fun at different events that take place on campus throughout the year.
Vesna
Vesna is currently working on completing her ESOL certificate as well as taking some general classes. After she is finished with that, she would like to move on to a four year university and complete a medical degree. She loves that NHCC has a lot of student clubs and organizations. She LOVES open gym and playing basketball as well as other recreational sports. She chose NHCC because she knew she could get a very good education and with a good education she can accomplish her future goals.
Vladimir
Vladimir is going to school to obtain his AS Degree in Business Management. He likes all of the activities and events that happen on campus. He is very active in open gym and recreational sports. Vladimir's involvement in those activities has given him the ability to meet many people and make a lot of new friends. |
