Transfer Students

If you received financial aid at another institution and are now planning to attend NHCC, you need to add NHCC’s school code (002370) to the FAFSA.

Types of Aid for Summer

Federal Pell Grant, Minnesota State Grant, MN Post-Secondary Child Care Grant and loans are available this summer. Credit enrollment for all summer sessions are combined to determine eligibility.

  • If you were eligible for Pell Grant for fall and spring semesters and were not enrolled full time for both semesters, you may be eligible for a Pell Grant for summer.
  • If you did not use your full loan eligibility during fall and spring semester, you may be eligible for summer loans.

IMPORTANT LOAN NOTICE: You are required to be enrolled in at least 6 credits at the time of any loan disbursement (not including w’s). New Stafford borrowers must also complete the loan application process. Continuing NHCC Stafford borrowers must update their existing Master Promissory Note (MPN) with the amount of their summer loan request.
