North Hennepin Community College (NHCC), one of the largest and most diverse two-year colleges in Minnesota, is accepting applications for the Associate Dean of Nursing and Allied Health, MnSCU Administrator 5.
The individual in this position provides support and leadership to the North Hennepin Community College Associate Degree Nursing program, the Medical Laboratory Technology/Histotechology, Health, and Health Care Core Curriculum departments. This position serves as a liaison between regional, state and national agencies as well as with professional organizations and healthcare entities. The Associate Dean coordinates and is responsible for program compliance with the accreditation standards for the respective accredited programs under their supervision. The individual in this position will facilitate the development, revision and evaluation of curriculum, assessment, student retention and outcomes and evaluation of departments. A number of articulated programs and partnerships have been established with post-secondary institutions including other community colleges, technical colleges, 4 year Minnesota State public institutions, private colleges and universities. Additional responsibilities include coordinating, supervising and evaluating faculty and staff, scheduling, budget management, maintaining current clinical site contracts, and facilitating meetings for the varied Advisory Boards and departments. The Associate Dean of Nursing and Allied Health will also have the opportunity to be part of the academic affairs leadership and work with implementing the strategic plan of NHCC. Our nursing program was awarded the 2015 Minnesota State awards for Excellence in Curriculum Programming and Innovative Partnering and Collaboration as partners in the Minnesota Alliance for Nursing Education (MANE) to increase baccalaureate prepared nurses through collaborative, transformative educational strategies.
