The Nursing Faculty at NHCC are at the forefront of excellence in nursing education.  Outcomes from our students’ NCLEX pass rates has been 90% and higher for many years.  Faculty work in teams and use innovative approaches to deliver curriculum.   A new bioscience and health careers center, including a new simulation center, opened in the fall of 2014.  Also, we began delivering new baccalaureate level curriculum in partnership with Metro State University fall of 2014. Chief Information Officer

North Hennepin Community College, one of the largest and most diverse two-year colleges    in Minnesota, is accepting applications for the Chief Information Officer, MnSCU Administrator 7.
The CIO position reports to the President and serves on the President’s executive team. The position leads the IT division and is responsible for developing and executing the IT Master Plan in support of all divisions and stakeholders of the college.  The CIO oversees 21 staff and directs of budget of approximately $2.3 million annually (personnel and non-personnel).  The position is responsible for all aspects of the IT budget, including budget development, review, implementation and oversight, vendor evaluation and selection, and the evaluation of appropriate technologies to support teaching and learning throughout the College for faculty, administration, staff, and students. In addition, the position makes decision on appointments, transfers, and promotions of IT staff, and develops, amends and institutes policies and procedures.

North Hennepin Community College, one of the largest and most diverse two-year colleges in Minnesota seeks an experienced professional to serve as the Associate Director of Student Life, MnSCU Academic Professional 2 (Unclassified MAPE).
Student Life is an integral co-curricular partner in the educational process of developing holistic student learning and development. The Associate Director of Student Life in conjunction with the Director provides leadership of a comprehensive Student Life department including Student Government, Clubs & Organizations, Campus Programming, Leadership Development, Campus Center Operations, Performance & Visual Arts, Student Recognition Events, Multicultural Programming, and other student life services/programs.  While providing leadership in all areas, the individual directly coordinates, implements, and evaluates all student leadership and involvement opportunities specific to Student Government, Clubs & Organizations, and Leadership Development, while playing a central role leading department’s collaboration in College multicultural and diversity programming & initiatives.  As a senior member of the leadership structure, the individual shares responsibility with the Director for state, MNSCU, and College policy & procedure interpretation and compliance, departmental strategic planning and achievement, budget management, and supervision and evaluation of professional and para-professional staff.  Through the individual’s efforts, a dynamic Student Life program that engages and supports student’s co-curricular learning and development is achieved in areas of personal and professional growth, campus and civic engagement, leadership, and cultural competency is achieved.

Adjunct Physical Education/Exercise Science/Kinesiology Faculty

The Exercise Science Department at NHCC is an engaged group of faculty interested in delivering the highest level of instruction to students in the areas of fitness, personal training, and exercise science. Faculty work as a team to deliver content which assists students to complete their Associate of Science in Fitness, Associate of Science in Physical Education, and Personal Trainer Certificate. A number of articulations have been established with colleges and universities to assist students in transferring to a broad range of careers such as clinical testing, personal training, performance enhancement, sports management, physical therapy, kinesiology, cardiac rehabilitation and corporate fitness. The Exercise Science Department is seeking to add additional courses and degrees in the concentration areas of Exercise Science, Corporate Wellness and Wellness Coach.
As part of the department’s focus on excellence, students have the opportunity to complete the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) personal trainer certification upon completion of their coursework. Please join us as an Exercise Science Faculty member and be part of this dynamic team.
