Congratulations Class of 2016!
The Commencement Ceremony for all 2016 graduates will be on Monday, May 9th at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium at the St Paul River Centre.
What is a commencement ceremony?
NHCC hosts an annual commencement at the end of spring semester. The ceremony honors the hard work and achievements of our graduates, as well as acknowledges the invaluable support received from their families and friends. All students who have graduated during the 2015-16 academic year are encouraged to participate in the Spring 2016 ceremony. This includes students who graduated in Fall 2015, Summer 2015 graduates who did not attend the May 2015 commencement because they applied after the Spring 2015 deadline, and Summer 2015 graduates who will apply by the Spring 2016 deadline of April 1, 2016.
When and where will the commencement ceremony take place?
The 2016 ceremony will be held at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in the St Paul RiverCenter on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 7:30pm (driving directions - only 20 miles away).
How do I register to participate in commencement?
The first and most important step to participate in commencement is to complete your Graduation Application & Follow-Up Survey and return them to the Records & Registration Office (ES 70) by April 1, 2016. All students who apply for graduation will receive more detailed information about commencement, including how to obtain regalia, as well as other checklist items when that information becomes available in spring.
How many guests can I invite?
Graduates will be able to invite as many guests as they wish! No tickets will be required.
What is regalia?
Regalia is the academic robe (gown), mortar board (cap), and tassel you wear during the ceremony. There is no special ordering and no cost. Students will pick up their cap and gown at the ceremony site the day of the event, details about when and where to pick up regalia will be provided (coming soon!).
