Minneapolis Farmer's Market Produce Rescue Project

EFN is looking for volunteers to help out at the Minneapolis Farmer's Market every Sunday afternoon, July through the end of October. This volunteer opportunity involves informing the vendors and farmers about the program, collecting surplus produce from the vendors at the close of the Farmer's Market, and stacking boxes of produce on pallets for pick up. All produce will be distributed to local food shelves, and in previous years volunteers have collected thousands of pounds of produce each week! We are looking for about 10-14 volunteers every Sunday until the Farmer's Market closes in October to help (hours are 12pm-2:30pm on a Sunday afternoon). All volunteers will receive a “Produce Rescue Team” T-shirt! Please click here to view the flyer: Produce Rescue Flyer .

Here’s the link to sign up, via volunteerspot.com: http://vols.pt/2abZX3 or contact Michelle Barcelona, Volunteer Coordinator at mbarcelona@emergencyfoodshelf.org or (763) 450-3897.

NHCC is also looking for volunteers in the Food Cupboard, NHCC's on campus food shelf for students.  To sign up for a shift or to help with a Food Cupboard Project, please click here!
