Additional fees

Application Fee: A one-time non refundable application fee of $20 is payable upon application.

Books and Supplies: Textbooks and supplies are available in the North Hennepin Community College Bookstore. Generally textbooks cost approximately $125-250/per class per semester for full-time students. Supply costs vary greatly from program to program. Contact the Bookstore for more additional information.

Non sufficient Funds Fee: When checks are returned to the college due to non sufficient funds (NSF), account closed or a stopped payment, a fee of $30.00 is assessed for each check. This applies to all checks payable to the college.

Personal Property Fee: With the approval of the Minnesota State College and University Board of Trustees, North Hennepin may impose special fees to cover supply costs, field trip expenses, loss of or breakage to college property or private music instruction. Fees are established before the semester registration period and are printed in the Class Schedule.

Overdue Library Materials Fee: Students who fail to return materials will be charged an overdue library fine.

Senior Citizens: Students 62 years or older who register as of the second day of the class, are eligible for North Hennepin's reduced senior citizen rate (effective Fall 2006, tuition only is $20.00/credit), if space is available. All fees are applicable to senior citizens except the student life/activity fee.

Senior citizens who register before the second day of the semester must pay full tuition and fees.

Minnesota resident senior citizens are not charged the senior citizen fee when auditing a credit course or taking a noncredit course when space is available.
