Summary:
North Hennepin Community College, one of the largest and most diverse two-year colleges in Minnesota, is accepting applications for the Associate Dean of Nursing, MnSCU Administrator 5.
 
The Associate Dean of Nursing provides support and leadership to the North Hennepin Community College Associate Degree Nursing program for its day and evening/weekend programs. This position serves as a liaison between regional, state and national agencies as well as with professional organizations and healthcare entities. The Associate Dean coordinates and is responsible for program compliance with the Accrediting Commission of Education in Nursing (ACEN) and the Minnesota Board of Nursing (MBN) standards and criteria. The person in this position will facilitate the development, revision and evaluation of curriculum including articulated programs related to nursing with post-secondary institutions including other community colleges, technical colleges, 4 year MnSCU public institutions, private colleges and universities. Additional responsibilities include coordinating, supervising and evaluating nursing faculty and work assignments, maintaining current clinical site contracts, and facilitating meetings for the Nursing Advisory Board is expected.  The Associate Dean of Nursing will also have the opportunity to lead the nursing program with the new MANE curriculum which is part of the Minnesota Alliance for Nursing Education (MANE) to increase baccalaureate prepared nurses through collaborative, transformative educational strategies.

The Theatre program at NHCC is responsible for the coursework of the college’s Theatre Associate in Fine Arts degree.  The program is geared toward performance majors, includes technical theatre components and provides a solid foundation for transfer to 4-year programs.  NHCC’s theatre program has garnered awards from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre festival.  The person hired in this position will be expected to collaborate toward continued excellence and high expectations of our theatre students.
