Individualized Studies
The Associate of Science in Individualized Studies allows students to combine unique interests and educational and career goals into a student designed curriculum. The Individualized Studies degree allows students to combine disciplines into a degree where there is no established NHCC program.

It is designed for students who are currently working or have experience in a professional career.  The student-defined curriculum is designed to offer students the opportunity to develop career-related goals and pursue a program which is uniquely special and focuses on educational and professional development.

  1. Would you like to create a major that more directly meets your needs for your life and career rather than someone else’s idea of what you need?
  2. Do you want to learn how to include creative learning strategies into your education like ‘getting credit for what you know’ or ‘testing out’ of introductory classes?
  3. Do you have college credits from prior classes you have taken?
  4. Do you want to combine courses from many departments and disciplines to create a unique degree that is all about you?

If you answered yes to any of these questions an Individualized Studies degree might be the right fit for you.
