Travel to the Amazon and earn credits while you are there! Students will live and work together completing two academic courses and engage in a variety of service learning activities. They will experience lessons in tropical biodiversity and current sustainability issues, along with soaking up the local river culture. Some program highlights include rainforest ecology, canopy walk explorations, medicine in the rainforest, fishing for dinner, equatorial stargazing, studying tropical insects, and search for birds, dolphins and sloths, There are opportunities to visit villages, experience natural wildlife, spend time with local curanderos (healers), visit a medicinal garden, and much more...
